This session covers the use of lighting in musicals and theatre in the Annex.
Actors are great, but all their hard work goes to waste if the audience can’t see them!
Lighting not only means that actors can be seen but can influence where the audience puts their attention, provide scenery, and change the mood of a scene entirely. This training session will take you through the basics of lighting stage shows, from working with the director to create a design, through rigging lights in our very own theatrical performance space, The Annex, up to programming and playing back a show!
Whether you’ve worked in lighting before or want to try something new, this session is sure to be super fun! Check out the mentors page for a little bit more about who’ll be teaching you, and please feel free to get in touch at training@stagesoc.org.uk if you have any questions!
There are two identical sessions, so if you can't make one, hopefully, you can make the other!
